Leave Management

Leave requests, balances and approvals, all counted correctly

Leave is easy to request and hard to count. Weekends, public holidays, half days and carried-over days all change what a request really costs. DeeHr360 works out the true cost of each request before it is sent, routes it for approval, and keeps every balance as a ledger that you can check line by line.

How it works

5 steps, from start to finish

  1. Set up types and rules

HR defines leave types, the leave year, notice periods, public holidays and blackout periods.

  2. Open balances from policy

Balances are opened for the year from the entitlement policy that matches each employee, and monthly accrual is kept up to date.

  3. Employee applies

As the dates are picked, the employee sees how many working days the request will cost and which holidays were skipped.

  4. Handover and approval

The colleague taking over the work accepts or declines from an emailed link, and the request goes through the company's approval chain.

  5. Leave runs its course

Each morning approved leave moves to 'on leave' and then 'taken', and a recall or early return gives the unused days back.

What it does best

Built for the way HR really works

True working-day count

Requests are counted against each person's own work schedule, skipping public holidays and non-working days, with half days where allowed.

Balances you can audit

Every balance is the sum of a ledger of openings, accruals, carry-overs, days taken, adjustments and expiries, each with a date and a reason.

Policies by grade or unit

Entitlement policies can target a job grade, employment type, part of the organisation or length of service, and the most specific one applies.

Handover the colleague confirms

Where a leave type needs a handover, the colleague accepts or declines it themselves from a link, with reminders if they have not answered.

Carry-over with a cap

Unused days carry into the new year up to the limit set, and anything above the cap is recorded as expired.

Blackouts and team calendar

Blackout periods can be set for the whole company or for chosen units, and a leave calendar shows who is away.
